We are very happy to share this interview with all to Francisco "Pakito" Diaz, one of the best european pool players and recent winner of the 1st Test Cup Spain Ball 10 - Circuit Masterpool.

How long is your passion for the pool?

From 23 years ago. He said soon ...

What are you most passionate about this sport?

The opportunity to travel and meet people. Imagine all that I have met over the years :-)

What are the modalities you practice?

Ball 8, 9, 10. 1.14 One poker and rotation.
   

What cue brand you usually play? What do you change to another?

Predator. only change if the sponsorship interesting.

How often do you play each week? Do you think that is enough to improve your game?

Now little workout. There have been times in my career in which I have devoted more time to training. No doubt it is very important to improve and progress as a player.

What club you play normally? Do you think that is well suited for the practice of billiards?

Now where I live there is no pool halls able to train. It is a real shame.

What do you think should make billiard clubs to attract more players?

Do not think so much about short-term economic benefits and provide free workshops to promote the love of our sport.

What was your best game or tournament?

Undoubtedly the games I played in Europe, 2012. I thoroughly enjoyed. I got two golds and a bronze.

Have you always had confidence in your game or, on the contrary, you have come moments of doubt?

Yes, always trust my game. It is one of the key factors for which surrender always packed.

Have you had the opportunity to compete outside Spain?

If. Virtually thank the pool I could travel around the world. I feel privileged to do so.

What is the player that you look to try to improve your game?

Bustamante.

Tell us a story that happened to you playing pool

The truth is that I have had many. One of them was when I traveled to China to play an invitational tournament and when I was not registered. Imagine my face. Luckily I could play at the end, because going to China for nothing ...

How do you see the health of the sport in Spain now?

Right now, unfortunately, I do not see very well.

Why do you think that is down to the players participation in national tournaments?

The expenses for the players are very high and the prizes are sparingly. Hopefully this will change in the future.

Where do you think can be the solution?

On the arrival of new sponsors, although obviously not easy with the current economic situation.

Why do you think that in Spain the pool is not a very attractive sport for the media?

The truth is that I could not tell. We are a footballing country, and apart from the rest of the sport has barely fit in media.

What would you say to young people that was encouraged to practice?

That is a sport that gives you the opportunity to meet people, travel and develop the mind. And just so worth it.
