Predator has always been a leading brand in the world of billiards and this year Predator surprises us with the new models of the Roadline series, offering impeccable designs, high quality materials, comfort of use and very competitive prices. Of course, these new Roadline are something that any pool lover should have in their collection.

A cue with history: The Hustlers

The Sneaky Pete or Hustler cue style is the oldest and most traditional design of a two piece cue.

Many old billiard players say that many years ago it was usual to bet large sums of money when playing billiards. As in everything that has to do with making money, there was no shortage of "hustlers" who managed to cheat the other players and thus bring a succulenta amount of coins to their pocket.

What was their method? Easy, they wanted to look like a rookie player so that the opponents lowered their guard and increased the bets. For this, they created a type of cue that physically looked like a cheap cue but that was actually one with characteristics of a quality cue.

Expert say, as these where good quality cues, they where made of two pieces and this sometimes gave them away ... It is really rare to see a very cheap two-piece cue, right? That's why the "scammers" used to grab the cue just at the union between the butt and the shaft, avoiding that other players could realize the hoax.

It is also said that these types of cues are named this way because their creator was a pool player, who loved to bet, called Pete the "Sneaky" which in for its ease to deceive the other players.

Up to this day, these types of cues have maintained their quality characteristics as their designs are becoming more eye-catching and high quality. You just need to take a look at the new Predator Roadline models to realize how awesome these cues are.

SP4: With a True-Splice four-point construction incorporating Canadian hard maple, ultra-elongated points with glossy plates, the Uni-Loc® customizable weight cartridge system and the world renowned Predator low deflection shafts.

We can find models SP4NWR and SP4NWP, both without grip and the SP4LWR and SP4LWP, both with linen grip.

SP8: With an eight-point True-Splice construction incorporating Canadian hard maple, ultra-elongated points with glossy plates, the Uni-Loc® customizable weight cartridge system and the world renowned Predator low deflection shafts.

We can find models SP8NWR and SP8NWM, both without grip and the SP8LWR and SP8LWM, both with linen grip.

All models come with Predator 314-3 shaft as standard.
