If you are already the lucky owner of a carbon fiber billiard shaft, you will surely be interested in these tips to keep it as good as new:

Carbon shafts should never be sanded or modified. Sanding the shaft surface will damage the exterior finish and weaken the structural integrity of the shaft and release potentially harmful materials that could affect its health. Any grinding, polishing or surface treatment of the shaft with chemicals or abrasives of any kind will void the limited lifetime warranty on the shaft and adversely affect the longevity and performance of the shaft. Never use talcum powder, baby powder, hand chalk or other shaft treatments on a carbon shaft.

To clean the surface of your carbon shaft, you can use one of the following two solutions: wipes or water cleaning.

Step 1. Wipe the shaft with a microfiber cleaning cloth, removing dirt, dust and debris.

Step 2. Using a washcloth or soft cloth towel with water, work up and down the shaft, from the end of the joint toward the tip while rotating your hand around the circumference of the shaft. You may see dirt on the towel, this is normal. Continue working the arrow until all areas have been thoroughly cleaned, allowing 1 to 2 minutes for the surface to dry.
