The records of Billiard

You probably remember mythical Records like Ronnie’s fastest 147 Ronnie or the 28 caroms in a row made by Caudron, but the truth is that many other billiard records billiard go unnoticed. So I decided to take a walk in the Guiness and collect them in this article so that we realize the feats achieved by some billiard players. And why not, if one day you want to try to beat them.

The Pool Marathon

From December 6 to 10 2013, David Miles, Shawn Terrell, Keith and Drew Pulley Rieck broke the record of more time playing pool restlessly: 100 hours non-stop at the Corner Pocket West.

The tournament with more participation

The American Poolplayers Association (APA) brought together 5,361 players in a single tournament in August 28, 2010. It was in the APA National Team Championships (8 Ball) held in Las Vegas from 19 to 28 of August.

The fastest 147

At World Championship in 1997, a young Ronnie O'Sullivan showed that he is from another planet. "The Rocket" completed the fastest Maximum Break of History: 5 minutes and 20 seconds. An amazing record that could only be beaten by himself.

The Oldest Pool Player

Wesley Walker was 99 years old when on January 1, 2001 he competed in the Valley National Eight-ball Association league in Oklahoma. I wish I still enjoy pool at that age.

The faster Speed ??Pool

How long does it take you to enter all the balls in a Pool table pockets? Certainly not as fast as Dave Pearson, who in 2002 got clean two tables in just 1 minute and 22 seconds.

The biggest stroke in 3 cushion billiard

28 caroms in a row is the maximum for a 3-cushion player. It has been done by up to four players, the last one was the Belgian Frederic Caudron in 2013. Will there be anybody able to do 29 or more in a row?

The best average in 3 cushion

Torbjorn Blomdahl in 2013 achieved the highest average in a game with 40 caroms: he achieved them in just 14 innings. An absolutely incredible mark.

The record holding a cue with a finger

And we close this compilation of billiard with one that, unlike the previous ones, is not held by any billiard player. Ashrita Furman, who is known for his numerous Guinness records, held 4 hours and 7 minutes a 500 gram cue with his index finger. I've tried to do it and came just for 10 seconds, so I will try to beat the other records other first :)

Write in the comments which of these records seems more amazing and how many hours in a row you have played billiards.
