We continue with the series of articles on the best professional billiard players in the world. Last week we talked about Pool and now it’s the turn for Snooker. It is not easy to highlight only seven names among the many magicians of Snooker, but here are my favorite players that are still active.

They are our idols, we dream of facing them one day and achieve some of their greatest achievements. While that dream is not met we can only watch them them play on video or live, trying to learn from their fantastic talent on the table. Everyone has their favorite billiard players, so today I share with you mine: there goes my top 7 pool players, all of them still active.

No one doubts that the three predominant forms of American Pool are 8-ball, 9 ball and, increasingly, ball 10. But there is life beyond these popular games. There are at least 5 other disciplines of American pool that often go more unnoticed. However, because of their strategic character and the skill they require, they deserve to be as famous as those of a lifetime. So today the protagonists are them.

When the game starts some rest on the rails of the table and others in the hands or pockets of the player. But they all play a vital role in pool: ensure a perfect grip between the cue (the tip) and the hitting ball (the white ball). Although they stain and leave a mark, they are much loved because without them powerful shots sidespins could not exist.

When we fail a ball or lose a game, the easiest thing is to blame anything but yourself. Instead of being honest and admit that the one who erred was us, often the billiard players throw more or less realistic alibi: that if the table, the cloth, the cue, the rival...

We the billiard players like to do as much or more than watching games, discover stories and crucial characters in the world of pool. So we are always looking for videos that satisfy our curiosity and our billiardist needs.
