The catalan player Raul Hebles won this past weekend at the First Extreme Tournament Ball 10 held in Sala Versus in Pineda del Mar (Barcelona).
The tournament, organized by Javi Lopez, was played with a game system rather novel. It consisted of 16 players entered in a drawing for two groups of 8 players. They played all against all sets of 7 to wins 10-Ball . Players are only playing against players of their own group. At the end of the session were added each win-loss and positive difference and tacadas made ?. This is what decided the classification and the final result of the tournament, that same order (games won, games and tacadas difference ) Even if with all this is equalized, it was decided to pull a "penalty".
A very attractive and different format. More than nine hours of play almost nonstop with an inscription low enough to spend all day playing. An incentive that has led to high participation.
We share the cronic send by Raul Hebles. Thank you Raul!
In my group, I had to play with Jesus Mollon ,Patrik, Hector Melendo, Luis Robisco , David Gomez and Javi Martinez. My first two games were perfect, perfect break, play flawlessly. The third game I lost playing well, but making a couple of glitches in the beginning that cost me to trace, with some combination and remove bad but good game. There I began to notice some fatigue and more than anything material change (pool cue) with wearing only a day playing. However, I have to say that the cue is really very very good, is my cue, but you have to adapt as well.
Since then I played worse, I had hardened and deformed and the cue tip was not comfortable , but still competed at a high level the next two games and the last I played better. Eventually one loss , and a very high level at times and intermittent in others.
The final ranking was this;
1. Raul Hebles
2. Quique Escudero
3. Javier Lopez
4. Javier Esteban
5. Hector Melendo
The truth that this is my favorite tournament . There is a good reward, you play many hours and discover things about your game ... What else can you ask for? It has certainly been a great testing and training.
Since Poolmania we are glad the tournament has gone really well and we will be attentive to your next celebration :-)
